The Cabin
Buck Burney privately owns this property and lives near the cabin where you will be staying. The cabin is situated on 'Crystal Lake' and has a private beach with direct access to the lake. The cabin has been reserved exclusively for you, and there should be no other guests accessing the cabin or beach this weekend.
The cabin is reserved Friday - Sunday. I would pack a bathing suit if you would like to swim, and some shoes and cloths comfortable to go explore and walk around.

The “Orange Blossoms” will be your favorite spot to eat. Formerly known as the “Florida Cracker Kitchen” The Orange Blossom serves breakfast, lunch, & dinner and is one of the most niche foodie spots in the “Florida Lakes” area. I have not been personally but it all looks very very good.
“Blue Water Bay” is one of Melrose Florida’s most visited and well known places to enjoy dinner. If you’re looking for a fresh seafood dinner I would add Blue Water Bay to your list.
Things to Do
Paynes Prairie Preserve
You might decide to put your toes in the water and stay by the lake, but if you feel a need to get out and wander Paynes Prairie Preserve is roughly 40 minutes from the lake and would be a great place to explore. With over 300 bird species, wild roaming horses and buffalo, a 50-foot high observation tower, and 16 miles of paved trails the prairie should lend a great adventure.
“Waldo’s Antique Mall” is one of Florida’s largest antique stores and flea markets. A genuine, 50-acre marketplace known for 40+ years. This market is only 15 minutes from the cabin and would be a great addition to your trip. Bring me back something!
