On December 22, our members will vote on accepting the property at 2365 Blanding Blvd. The second part of the vote will involve approving Trey Kirwin (Elder/Pastor), Greg Coleman (Elder), and Garrett Bryan (Trustee) to oversee and execute the legal aspects of this acquisition.

• Engage with an attorney to prepare legal documents

• Obtain property title insurance and conduct a title search

• Conduct a Phase 1 environmental survey

• Complete a property survey

• Verify zoning classification

• Perform a building inspection and evaluation

Beginning in January 2025, both congregations will start gathering together, while Lake Shore continues to meet as a senior adult ministry following the corporate gathering. Throughout Q1 of 2025, the appointed team will work to finalize the legal aspects of this transition.

TDC will rely on the building inspection to prioritize the immediate campus needs while assembling a plan to adapt the property for current ministry use.

Lake Shore members will be welcomed into TDC membership and invited to participate in our membership process.

TDC has committed to employing the Senior and Associate Pastors of LSBC as directors of the senior ministry and partners in passing on the legacy of Lake Shore Baptist Church.

The process of becoming a TDC elder is open to all who are biblically qualified and submit to our eldership process. LSBC pastors will not assume the position of overseer without submitting to the elder process.

TDC elders are prayerfully considering what God would have for the future of this property. As of now we do not have a clear direction from God on how we are to utilize this space, however if the decision is made to sell this property the church would be included by a church vote.

Our current “IM” balance is $275,000. These funds will be reserved in this account until a plan is developed for an update to the Lake Shore campus.
